to increase sequential read performance, we decided to slightly reduce random read performance to be more balanced with the random write performance across the capacities offered in the C400 product line. During C400 development, our engineers’ goal was to create a well-balanced SSD that would perform well in multiple real-world environments. This goal also meant focusing on multi threaded transactions with a larger queue depth, since this is the type of transaction we see in real-world operating systems and applications. The end result is an SSD with much higher sequential read performance and an improved PC Mark Vantage score.
